About Me
After coaching for 22 years in Division I college softball, I bravely chose to step aside to prioritize my family and capture the opportunity to impact change within the rapidly changing climate in the fastpitch softball community.
My career as a coach was no longer about holding the keys to higher education and an elite experience while providing personal support, empathy and the life skills necessary to be successful at life after college. It became the impossible task of being not just a coach, but a mind reader, psychologist, academic coordinator, conflict manager, social media expert, sales person, motivator, travel coordinator, mentor, event planner, fundraiser, parent pleaser, perfectionist, scout, accountant, recruiter, competitor, compassionate, strict but not too strict, practice planner, and administrator while holding a winning record, having 100% graduation rate at the peak of the transfer portal and all with no days off. Our job was to tell the truth, while few could accept it.
As an expert in this industry, I see you.
I see the inconsistency in regulations at the travel ball level, seen an erosion of accountability, and project the need for advice, education, and direction for coaches, parents, and players. There is a steady rise in the quantity of teams and a decay of standards.
I want to raise a level of awareness among all college coaches that change is necessary should they anticipate longevity in the profession.
It’s imperative college coaches recruit accountable athletes that possess strong coping skills who not only excel athletically but also demonstrate strong positive character traits.
Whether you’re a youth coach, high school coach, travel ball coach or parent, let’s discover together by scheduling a free call with me to find out how I can help.
